Job Description

As a Cloud Architect, you'll lead the Modulate's effort to scale ToxMod from processing millions of voice chat hours per month to handling billions, all while maintaining low latency, high availability, and low cost. 
You will also assist in building out the cloud team that owns ToxMod's AWS-based cloud infrastructure and be the face of Modulate's cloud capabilities and infrastructure to the rest of the company.
The salary for this position is set at $185,000/yr

Your responsibilities will include:

    • Owning Modulate's AWS infrastructure that provides the ToxMod service, as well as the infrastructure-as-code that creates / updates it
    • Operating as a team leader and individual contributor to ship updates to the ToxMod cloud infrastructure that implement new features, improve costs, and maintain throughput/reliability/low latency as we scale 10x-100x
    • Owning and scaling databases as part of ToxMod's cloud system, including relational and nosql databases
    • Extending existing monitoring and alerting systems to maintain the health of the ToxMod infrastructure
    • Ensuring high reliability by taking part in the on-call rotation for ToxMod infrastructure, and developing / extending the on-call process as the cloud team grows
    • Interfacing with the ML and Web teams where their systems interact with the cloud infrastructure

Desired Qualifications include:

    • Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud systems
    • Familiarity with python or similar programming languages
