This is a new role within our Operations Team where you will be responsible for autonomous vehicle operations in our customer sites where you will be responsible for Remote Vehicle Operations, Maintenance and Systems testing. where you will be cross-deployed to both the testing and operations team. This role will operate on a shift-based schedule. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of autonomous vehicles, monitoring and controlling real-time vehicle operations, conducting general maintenance and executing testing procedures.

On a day to day, you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams while integrating new technologies, troubleshooting technical issues and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will be vital in the success of maintaining compliance with safety regulations, optimizing vehicle performance, and fostering innovation in autonomous vehicle operations.

 

Role responsibilities

Vehicle Maintenance and Testing:

  • Conduct diagnostics and maintenance on autonomous vehicles.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new technologies and features into autonomous vehicle systems.

  • Execute testing procedures for autonomous vehicle systems in an operational environment.

  • Provide technical support to on-site and remote teams during autonomous vehicle operations.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Operations Control:

  • Monitor and control the real-time operations of autonomous vehicles.

  • Execute and manage autonomous vehicle operations to ensure safe and efficient performance.

  • Respond promptly to system alerts and emergencies, taking corrective actions as necessary.

Shift Operations:

  • Work on a shift-based schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage for autonomous vehicle operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain continuous and reliable system functionality during all shifts.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to implement and maintain best practices.

 

Required experience

• Diploma in relevant field or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience in vehicle/transport operations and testing.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with vehicle/transport technologies and systems.

• Hands-on experience in mechanical systems and electrical/electronic wiring

• Hands-on experience with Linux OS environment.

• Knowledge and background in Robotics/Automation.

• Hands-on experience in Bash, Python, C++ and ROS is a plus.

• Possession of a Class 3 Driving licence is a plus.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to adapt in a shift-based and 24/7 working environment.
