About the Role

We’re seeking a Scientific Engagement Manager who can bridge deep scientific understanding with commercial acumen to drive new business growth. This role sits at the intersection of science, strategy, and commercial for someone who can engage R&D leaders in meaningful scientific discussions, uncover data and AI opportunities, and help shape solutions that advance target and drug discovery. You’ll be responsible for leading scientific pre-sales engagements, supporting opportunity qualification, and collaborating with technical and product teams to design impactful, AI-ready data solutions for clients.

What You'll Own

  • Lead scientific discussions with senior stakeholders across BioPharma, Biotech, Diagnostics, CRO/CDMO, and research institutions to identify opportunities where AI and multi-omics can accelerate research and drug discovery.
  • Act as a trusted scientific advisor, understanding customer challenges spanning target discovery, translational research, biomarker discovery, clinical development, and real-world evidence.
  • Translate complex biological questions into scalable data science and AI solution approaches leveraging multi-omics, clinical datasets, and Polly's capabilities.
  • Partner closely with Solution Managers, Technical Owners, Product, and Delivery teams to design technically sound and scientifically compelling customer solutions.
  • Develop scientific proposals, solution architectures, technical presentations, and statements of work (SOWs) for strategic opportunities.
  • Represent Elucidata through in-person customer whiteboarding sessions, executive briefings, webinars, customer demonstrations, and other strategic scientific engagements.
  • Drive end-to-end project execution from pre-sales through delivery, offering technical oversight, mentoring junior bioinformaticians, and ensuring successful project outcomes.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Advanced degree (Master’s / PhD) in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in scientific development, pre-sales, or consulting in BioPharma, TechBio, or CRO environments.
  • Deep hands-on understanding of multi-omics data analysis, including bulk and single-cell transcriptomics, spatial omics, genomics, and integrative multi-omics approaches applied to drug discovery and translational research.
  • Strong expertise in single-cell data analysis and familiarity with leading computational workflows and interpretation methodologies.
  • Proven experience engaging scientific and business stakeholders across pharmaceutical or biotechnology organizations.
  • Ability to translate complex scientific problems into AI-enabled analytical solutions.
  • Experience supporting scientific consulting, solution design, technical pre-sales, or customer-facing scientific engagements.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern bioinformatics pipelines will be helpful.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
